Welfare Association of the Department of External Resources started the construction of a new house in Paymaduwa, wilachchiya, for Mr. Ashoka Thissa’s family on 4th October 2019. The cornerstone was laid by the Director General of the Department of External Resources with the participation of the members of the Welfare Association and officials from the Wilachchiya Divisional Secretariat office.
Mr. Ashoka Thissa does not have a permanent income source and they have three small children. Welfare Association targets to complete the construction in few months and hand-over the new house to the family in early 2020.
