Post of Systems Analyst

Department of External Resources

 Applications are hereby called from Sri Lankan Citizens who have the following qualifications to fill the vacancy in the Post of Systems Analyst of the Department of External Resources.

1   Age limit – Should be over 18  years and below 45 years  

 (The maximum age limit will not be applicable to those who are already in the Public   Service or Corporation Service)

 
2    I.   Educational Qualifications  

Should have a Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Science Degree with experience in Information Technology

 
      II.       Required skills and working experience  
Ř      Two years experience in Local Area Networks Management
Ř      Windows Network Operating Systems Management
Ř      MS – Office, SQL , Visual Basic Software training
 
3  Annual Salary Scale :– Rs. 133,380-1-X 2,460-15X3,480 – 188,040/=  

(According to the Public Administration Circular 09/2004 TB 3-8) Efficiency Bar Examination before the annual salary scale of 153,240/=

 
4   Employment Conditions  

This post is permanent and should contribute to the contributory Pension Scheme.  Appointment will be on probationary basis for a period of three years.

Provisions in the Section 10 – 12 of the chapter two of the Establishments Code are also relevant in this regard.

 
5   Method of Recruitment  
Recruitment will be based on the results of a structured interview.
6   Method of Application  

Applications including Educational Qualifications and Professional Qualifications, and experience should be sent to the Director General, External Resources Department, P.O. Box 277, Colombo 01 on or before 03.11.2005 by registered post and the “Post of Systems Analyst” should be indicated on the top left hand corner of the envelope.

Receipt of the applications will not be acknowledged.  Applications that do not conform in full to the requirements of this notice will be rejected.
