GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

 PROCUREMENT OF THE GOODS AND SERVICES UNDER JAPAN’S GRANT AID 2004 FOR ECONOMIC STRUCTURAL ADJUSTMENT OF The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka

The Government of The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has received Grant Aid of 800 million Japanese Yen from the Government of Japan to purchase the goods and services incidental to such goods for public organizations and private sector companies in The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Utilizing part of the Grant Aid, the following goods will be procured:

  • FUEL OIL 1500 SEC

    Eligible source countries are all countries and areas except The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka

    Firms or companies who are interested in supplying the goods should provide JAPAN INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION SYSTEM with the following information in English as soon as possible either by fax or by e-mail. The eligible firms or companies, however, are limited to those who have experience in supplying petroleum product

    1. Name and address of firms or companies
    2. Name(s) of person(s) in charge
    3. Telephone and facsimile numbers and an e-mail address, if available

      4. By return, JICS will send the REGISTRATION FORM by e-mail (if available) or by facsimile. The REGISTRATION FORM is to be filled and returned with required documents (e.g. annual report) by registered mail, courier service or hand delivery. Only firms or companies who have submitted the complete REGISTRATION FORM prior to a pre-qualification (P/Q) will be registered and P/Q will be carried out based on the REGISTRATION FORM. P/Q for the goods is scheduled for the date two weeks after the date when this General Procurement Notice is issued. Criteria of P/Q for the goods shall depend on the procurement conditions including the nature and scale of the goods, etc.

      It should be noted, however, that JICS is neither committed to extend invitations to tender to ALL firms or companies which submitted the REGISTRATION FORM nor to execute the procurement of ALL items specified above. Tender Invitations will be issued to the qualified firms or companies at a later date. The same General Procurement Notice can also be seen on JICS website (http://www.jics.or.jp) until (day month year).

      General Procurement Notice for other goods to be procured under the same grant may appear on JICS website later, therefore, these firms or companies who are interested in supplying the goods to The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka shall be recommended to check the website on regular basis.
